Something’s in the Tea
Aaa-choo!
What’s wrong with me?
All I did was eat
some food.
There’s something in
this tea.
Oh my,
A rash!
Am I going to die?
I feel like I’m going
to crash.
Oh no, don’t tell me,
It’s an alergie!

ALLERGIES
Allergies make me sad.
And sometimes they make me mad!
When I get an allergic reaction
I then I get lot's of attraction!
Inside, I know everything will be all okay
If I stop thinking about the dread that ruins the day!
I worry about my allergies if they get real bad.
Allergies are not good because, they make me sad.
Allergies!

I have Eosinophilic Gastrointestinal Disorder.
I ate an egg.
Then I
couldn't wake up.
An ambulance
came to school and took me to the hospital.
I was sad.
I wanted to
stay in school and I wanted to watch a movie.
When I get an
IV in my hand it hurts me a lot and a lot and a lot and a lot.
I go to
doctor.
He puts a
camera down my mouth into my tummy.
I have only a
little bit of food I can eat.
I have a
feeding tube in my nose.
I can run and
eat at the same time.
When my Mama
changed my tube it feels bad.
I wish I could
eat lots of food.
I wish I could
eat chicken and pretzals and butter and eggs and cookies and sauce.
I can't eat
birthday cake.
I have a
ricecake birthday cake.
I wish that
allergies would go away and I can eat anything!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Me and My Food Allergies
It’s difficult to deal with food allergies every day, but the only way to avoid a reaction is to avoid the food. It’s hard to fight the temptation. I have developed several ways of coping with my allergies.
Do you know what I could really go for right now? I could go for a nice sweet juicy vanilla cupcake! It has white frosting with bright colored sprinkles on top, sure looks delicious.
Ok, now I have a cup of milk and my cupcake, but wait I can’t have this cupcake because I am allergic to my snack. This snack contains wheat, dairy, eggs, soy and its not organic. Oh man, I’m so sad, I just want to cry. This is how I feel when I can’t have the foods I am allergic to.
When other people eat cake, candy, cookies or pizza I feel so bad I just want to knock it out of their hands and stomp on it so it will stop taunting me. Then once it is gone I feel happy, because then I don’t have to think about it anymore.
I have to learn how to deal with my food allergies by replacing it with something else I can eat. When I am in the grocery store I help my mom find food I can eat by reading labels. It is amazing how much food I can’t eat because of my food allergies. All of the food that we buy is organic and if I find something new to eat I am so happy because I get to try a new food and I can’t wait to get home to sink my teeth into it.
I can’t have a whole lot of food because
of all the ingredients I am allergic too.
Every chance I get I try to find a new food to see if I can even eat it.
I just want to make sure that my mom has not over looked some foods that I
could actually have. I feel so sad when I can’t have a lot of food, especially
when it looks so good. I try not to let it disturb me. I do my best to put it
out of my mind and continue on with my day.
